Phuc Quoc island
Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quôc Island is a little wonder that is very much appreciated by lovers of "do nothing". Its pristine beaches, tropical forests and fishing villages will delight those who wish to end their trip by resting and relaxing in an idyllic setting.
Several means of transport are available to go to Phu Quoc: flights from Hanoi, Sai Gon, Dang Nang, Can Tho, Hai Phong…; speed boats from Rach Gia and Ha Tien. Most travelers choose to fly there from Sai Gon, but if you plan to explore the Mekong Delta, it is best to take speed boat to Ha Tien or Rach Gia. The sea boat trip will take 2 to 3 hours.

Free time to discover the first island of Vietnam. Take advantage of your hotel's own beach or take a taxi to explore beaches further:

Do not hesitate to rent a local scooter (7-8 euros/day) if you want to immerse yourself in the nature and the daily life of villagers. Walk for a few minutes to discover flora and fauna on this island. Visit Suoi Tranh waterfall and Hang Doi cave in the middle of a primative forest. In the afternoon, visit Phu Quoc Prison to learn more about the Vietnam War between 1954 and 1975. Return to your hotel at the end of the afternoon.

Do not miss Vinpearl Safari if you love wild animals. This site is 25 km from the city center. The visit takes two hours. This park has 150 species of rare and precious animals.
