After breakfast at your hotel, transfer by car to Bat Bun Than pagoda. The road will cross Khmer villages, rice fields as far as the eye can see as well as green vegetable gardens. Visit the Bat Bun Than pagoda then, you will start your trekking on an easy track. Cross several villages before joining the flooded rice fields (green rice between July and September and yellow rice between October and December). Opportunity to discover virgin nature, an authentic daily life and to meet hospitable villagers. Lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Boeng Melea temple. Short transfer by car to Svey Leu. Overnight in hostel.
Visit a small local market before walking to reach Phnom Kulen, a sacred mass for all Cambodians. A short climb on a track will take you to the village of Ta Ping then the Vat Chas pagoda. Magnificent view of the valley. Your walk will continue in the middle of cashew and coconut forests. You will make a few stops in remote villages in the forest, inhabited by smiling but shy locals. Next stop in the village of Sangke Lak, to immerse yourself a little more in the daily life of the locals, and to have a lunch break in the form of a picnic. Let yourself be tempted by the possibility of savoring fresh coconuts picked on the spot by yourself, under the guidance of a villager of course! The walk will continue under the shade of the trees to the Along Thum pagoda. Overnight at homestay or at a local pagoda.
Early in the morning, you will leave the hospitable people of Along Thum village and their pagoda for a long day of walking. You cross rivers as well as cashew gardens, and visit on the way several ancient temples: Sras Preah Ko, Sras Dam Rey ... before taking a well-deserved break in the form of a picnic in nature. Around 3 p.m., discovery of the Phnom Kulen pagoda with its very famous statue: the reclining Buddha. Do not hesitate to bathe in fresh waters of the waterfall before coming back to Siem Reap. Today, the day is devoted to a complete tour of the countryside and the little-known temples of the travelers of the great circuit of the temples of Angkor. A short transfer by bus or tuk tuk (motorized tricycle, carrying 4 passengers) will take you to the temple of Preah Khan, the starting point of your hike. This afternoon, you will have a lunch break in the form of a picnic in nature, after visiting the Ta Nei temple. Hiking to Ta Keo temple, before arriving at the high point of the day, the famous Ta Prohm temple. Return to downtown Siem Reap by motorized vehicle. End of our services.
